  • Programme Summary: (subject to change)

    • Sunday 26th; 11.00am - 3.00pm: New principals session including media & legal.

      • Powhiri and Welcome Drinks and Nibbles 5:15pm - 7:00pm

    • Monday 27th; Keynote Speakers - Alicia McKay - Strategic development for senior leaders and Abbas Nazari - Resilience beyond borders.

      • 2pm - Minister David Seymour on Truancy and Charter Schools

      • SPANZ AGM and SPANZ Union AGM 2.45 - 3.45pm

    • Tuesday 28th;

    • Keynote Speakers and Workshops including

      • Minister Erica Stanford 9.00am - 10.00am

      • Pete Hall - Surviving and thriving in the principal’s office - watch his teaser video here!

      • Workshops; Pete Hall, Tony Gilbert on Artificial Intelligence in secondary schools, Media management from SPANZ executive, Teaching Council workshops x2, Richard Harrison and Gretchen Stone on various legal topics, Robin Fabish on Te Tiriti o Waitangi and SPANZ Union issues.

    • Wednesday 29th; Keynote Speakers, Andrew Hood, Cyber security in high schools and Sir Ian Taylor. Finish time of approximately 11.30am.

Registration desk open: Sunday 26 May, 10.30am - 5.00pm.

Powhiri & welcome: Sunday 26 May, 5.15pm followed by welcome snacks and drinks.

Conference dinner: Tuesday 28 May, 4.45pm depart on TSS Earnslaw Cruise for Walter Peak Gourmet BBQ.

Conference close: Wednesday 29 May, 12.30pm.

Cancellations

All registration cancellations received prior to 6 May 2024 will receive a full refund. Cancellations received after this date will be refunded 50% of original invoice. However, there will be no refunds after 20 May 2024.
